Isla Verde, our cabina in Boquete, Panama
The grounds were even prettier than at the Capitan's
The rivers in the mountains fed the towns water supply
Waterfalls or cascadias were abundant
The plant life was like none we had ever seen
The breakfast nook at Isla Verde
Birds of Paradise
One of the numerous cabinas at Isla Verde, notice the wooden doors and window panes made by local artisans incredibly cheap
The river running thru Isla Verde
The owners house on site at Isla Verde - The owners were a German couple who had arrived 17 years ago by boat. The wife was an incredible artist and the husband an architect, great combination for a gorgeous B&B
The complex at Isla Verde had at least 15 different cabanas
Bougies
Leridita Coffee Plantation
They had a hotel, restaurant and plantation
The rooms sat in the side of the mountain in this building and the coffee beans were on the plants high above in rows of green
Coffee beans!! We are not sure the difference between the green & red beans
Anything can grow in this environment, it rains at least a little bit every day
Stu & Kate coming down the hill from the restaurant, we had to try the coffee and get some to go!
